Ask an engineer

Ask an engineer. Get a straight answer.

Fifteen minutes with a senior engineer, not a salesperson. Bring a question, a workflow, or a proposal you’ve been sent. You’ll leave knowing whether AI fits, and what we’d do first, even if it isn’t with us.

Hear which agentic systems could fit your workflow, and the right first step. The engineer names them on the call.

After you send this, choose a time on the next page.

We use your answers only to prepare the call. See the privacy notice.

  • A senior engineer, not a salesperson
  • Your question answered plainly
  • Whether AI fits, and the right first step

The fifteen minutes

What happens on the call.

A senior engineer, your question, and a straight answer.

  1. You describe the questionA workflow, an idea, a vendor proposal, or a decision you are weighing. Plain words are best.
  2. We ask about the workThe systems involved, the data it touches, who owns it, and what a good outcome looks like.
  3. You get a direct answerWhether AI fits, what we would do first, and whether that first step is with us.
  4. You decide what happens nextThat may be nothing, a free workload evaluation, or a Diagnostic. The choice stays with you.

Before the call

What to bring, if you have it.

None of this is required. Each item helps us give a more specific answer.

  • The question, in a sentence or two
  • The workflow you have in mind, and who performs it today
  • The systems it reads from and writes to
  • Any proposal or quote you have been sent
  • What a good outcome would look like for your business

After the call

Where the conversation can lead.

The call often ends with the next step named. These are the options, in the order most clients take them.

  2. 02One workflow in code$750The Diagnostic: one hour of agent coding, the code, an Agentic AI Blueprint, and a one-hour consultation. You sign an engagement letter first.
  3. 03The work the evidence calls forFixed price or hourlyA System Blueprint, a Production Pilot, or a full build. Scope, terms, and acceptance criteria are agreed before work begins.
  4. 04Ongoing carePer sprint or agreed scopeIteration Sprints improve one agreed metric at a time. AI Stewardship keeps the system measured and current, with people approving each release.

Start at whichever step fits. Each one is its own decision, and none requires another.

Questions

Is this a sales call?

No. A senior engineer answers your question plainly. If another route suits you better, including another firm, we say so.

Do I need to prepare?

No preparation is required. A short description of the question or workflow helps us use the fifteen minutes well.

Should I share confidential material?

There is no need to. A description of the workflow is enough, so leave out customer records, credentials, and trade secrets.

Can I bring a colleague?

Yes. Bring whoever owns the workflow or the decision, so the answer reaches the right person.

What does the Diagnostic include?

$750 for one hour of agent coding on one workflow, the code delivered to you, an Agentic AI Blueprint, and a one-hour consultation. The code arrives in a private repository by default, or as a ZIP file, with a short README.

How is the Diagnostic paid for?

You request it here, and we reply with an engagement letter for the task. Payment is arranged directly with you after you sign it, by invoice if you need one. No payment is taken on the website. Billing questions go to billing@sophrono.com.
